Crockpot Cherry Pie Oatmeal (Real Food)

A warm, delicious oatmeal that tastes like a classic cherry pie, ready and waiting for you in the morning!

Ingredients

  • 1 can full-fat coconut milk
  • 2 1/4 c water
  • 1 1/4 c organic sprouted rolled oats
  • 2 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 1 tbsp xylitol
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • (or all of one kind of sugar, totaling 1/4 c. - feel free to mix it up!)
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp almond extract
  • 1 c + organic frozen cherries

Instructions

  1. Place 2-3 cups filtered water in the bottom of your crockpot.
  2. Using a 7 cup Pyrex container, mix all ingredients together and place in the crock.
  3. Turn slow-cooker on low and set for 4 hours.
  4. (Mine reverts to 'Warm' setting after the timer goes off).
  5. Enjoy a healthy, delicious meal 4-8 hours later!
