Why Our Son Will Grow Up As A Boy

Written by Tiffany H

It blows my mind that that is a controversial statement.

In a common sense, functional society that would be a ridiculous statement because it would be widely known as, well, COMMON SENSE.

For those of you who don’t know the technicality or surety of it, when a baby boy is born (minus very extreme cases) they have the private parts of (here’s the surprise) a BOY. And girls (amazingly) are born with girl parts. In every case I have seen of children having gender mis-identity, each was born with the genitalia of either one or the other. They had the sex organs of one or the other, that, during puberty, would develop their bodies into, you guessed it, one or the other. Somehow in this crazy, backwards, upside-down society, it has suddenly become the norm for a 4 or 5 year old to decide they don’t want to be what they were created, so parents let them dress like the opposite sex, grow out/cut hair, change their name, switch out boy/girl toys, encourage the fantasy, and, here’s the real crime, START HORMONES TO STOP THEIR BODIES NATURAL PROGRESSION into the adult bodies they were intended to have.

Why is this so hard to comprehend? A 5 year old can not consent to such drastic, life-changing, forever altering decisions made to the only body they will ever have. Somehow it’s abusive to spank your child, but doing this to them is not only socially acceptable, but revered and held in high regard? Dare I say it, those parents who are confusing and then mutilating the bodies of the little humans they were given responsibility over FOR A SHORT TIME are deep in the throes of child abuse.

This isn’t even about the transgender issue. I am related to a transgender person. They made the choice AS AN ADULT to mutilate their body and ‘switch sexes’. It was THEIR choice. They have had to live with the consequences of THEIR decision. That person has openly regretted it and considered the options of going back, even after marrying a person of the same (original) sex. What will the lives of these children look like when they wake up as 20 year olds and realize that that season of feeling like someone they weren’t was exactly that, a season? During the years of their vulnerability and innocence, their parents, who were to protect and raise and preserve them for when it was their turn to make life-affecting, life-altering decisions, had instead given in to their childish ideas (or the parent’s fantasy of wanting the opposite sex child) and permanently disfigured the body that they have to live in for the rest of their lives. You can’t just grow hair out, dress differently or change color schemes to bring back the place in life they now need to and should be. What a devastating state of affairs these families will be in once they realize Mom and Dad willingly did this to me and there is nothing I can do to get back ‘normal’.

Also, say you give a boy hormones to ‘turn him into a girl’. He may grow breasts, change the height/tone of his voice, have a more feminine look – BUT he’s never going to have a period because he will never have a uterus or ovaries, he will never be able to carry or bear or nurse children, or experience the real hormones and changes a woman goes through. He will also never have the joy of becoming a father because he will be physically able to be NEITHER. We are creating a counterfeit, sterile, empty society on the altar of personal fulfillment.

My heart breaks for these children. The adults have free will. It is their decision and they are mentally old enough to understand the consequences they will have to live with. These children have no say, no consent, no understanding of the road ahead of this moment in time where they ‘feel like a girl/boy’. I’m sure God’s heart breaks for them also. He gave us free will, and as parents, that means we were trusted with our children’s well-being until their age of free will.

Psalm 139:13-17
For You formed my inward parts;

You covered me in my mother’s womb.
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.
How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!

How great is the sum of them!

God knew exactly what He was doing when He formed you, me, your child, my child. He doesn’t make mistakes. Someday we’ll all understand that. Please, please, please protect the bodies of your precious little ones.

So our son is growing up as a boy. He will learn how to handle boy responsibilities and how to treat a woman and how to be the man of the house from Daddy, and he will learn how to cook and how to clean and how a real woman treats a man from Mommy. Because being a boy doesn’t mean he can’t take care of himself or that cooking is ‘a woman’s job’ or any of the other stupid stereotypes out there. (Daddy can cook and bake as well as and sometimes better than Mommy.) It does mean that he will know he was created to be a man, and that he was given everything he will ever need to fill that role. Just like every other boy on this planet. And girl for that matter. God help us.

  • HI TIFFANY,

WAS I EVER SCEPTICAL TO OPEN YOUR POST TODAY, AS I THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE ONE OF THE ARTICLES ABOUT HOW PARENTS ALLOW THEIR CHILDREN TO DECIDE WHAT GENDER THEY WOULD LIKE TO BE. BUT, OH WHAT A WONDERFUL SURPRISE IT WAS TO READ YOUR ARTICLE!

YOU WROTE STRAIGHT FORWARD WORDS FROM, (I BELIEVE. . .GOD)! WHAT A WONDERFUL EN-
LIGHTENING STATEMENT OF HOW GOD CREATED WHAT WE ARE & IT IS NOT UP TO US TO CHANGE IT, BUT ENJOY IT!

IN YOUR POST, I READ THE LOVE YOU HAVE FOR YOUR FAMILY. YOU & YOUR HUSBAND ARE RAISING YOUR CHILDREN THE RIGHT WAY. . .THE WAY GOD INTENDED. IF ONE DOES IT GOD’S WAY, HOW CAN ONE GO WRONG? AMEN? YOU BETCHA! THANKS FOR LISTENING TO GOD &
BRINGING JOY TO THE REST OF US.

P.S. UNFORTUNATELY, WE ALL KNOW MAINSTREAM MEDIA WILL NEVER PICK UP THIS POST,
BUT MY HUSBAND & I WILL FORWARD IT ON TO OTHERS, VIA FACEBOOK.

    • This was one of the sweetest comments I’ve ever gotten, and I don’t even have your name to address you! 😉 Thank you so much for your encouraging words and solidarity with me on these moral, godly topics. This world is a hard place to live in, but praise God He promised to never leave or forsake us! And He promised to give us the right words at the right time when we are speaking for Him. We serve a good, good Father. 🙂 <3
I do understand it is hard to get these kind of articles circulated online. They are heavily filtered, but these forces at work to stop the spread of Truth will only be allowed to be for so long. God is limited by NO ONE. Amen! 🙂

  • Hello Tiffany,

You have shared true feelings from your heart. People change their nature, lifestyle etc day by day. We should respect our Christianity culture too. I really liked the points you have cleared in your blog post. We can not understand the plans of God.

    ~Dr. Diana

    • Thanks for your insight, Dr. Diana!
      Isaiah 55:8-9
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.”
      Amen!

  • I agree so much! I would not give my 3yo ice cream and cake and twizzlers for breakfast, no matter how much he says he wants them. Why do some parents think it’s so important for they’re young children to be able to dictate what may be wrong about they’re body? (As I told my 8 year old niece, she is way too young to think that anything about her body is imperfect, including her eyebrows.)
We live in a backwards society, but you made great points.

    • Yes! That is a great analogy! It’s so sad to me when little girls (and boys!) start body shaming. God knew what He was doing and every little ‘imperfection’ is perfect in His eyes. <3

  • Kudos on a great post. I think you are 100% right, and I agree with you so much. What seems so insane to me, is that over the last couple of years, a kind of weird pressure has been added to childhood that never existed before. Maybe a generation or two ago, a boy would be shamed for wanting to play with a doll, and a girl might be scolded for wanting to play with a toy truck (which isn’t ok–lets just let them play!). And finally we got over it and relaxed as a culture. But now it has swung over to some weird, inverse gender shaming. Now, if a boy wants to play with a doll, he can’t simply be a boy that plays with dolls; NOW our society is trying to tell us that he must really be a girl trapped in a boys body, and that we must start ramming other traditionally feminine things down his throat to convince him that he’s really a girl. This is insanity, folks! Oh my gosh, I had a GI Joe AND a Luke Skywalker doll when I was a little girl (I thought they made better dates for my Barbie). I am so thankful that no one decided it meant that I needed gender reassignment.

    • Thanks, Nicky! And I 100% agree with you! It sure didn’t take long for the culture to swing all the way around the other way. How crazy. And I love that you had a GI Joe and Luke Skywalker. I laughed so hard about that, but also totally agree they make much better dates for Barbie! 😉 LOL
And yes, Praise God you grew up in a time people weren’t quite this insane. Who knows what they would’ve done to me either.

  • I could not agree with this more! Thank you for standing up for God’s truth when it’s not popular. Loved this line, “We are creating a counterfeit, sterile, empty society on the altar of personal fulfillment.” Today’s culture is all about self-fulfillment and trying to fill that void only God can. My heart breaks for these children, too.

    • Aww, thank you Marisa! So true, we attempt to fill the ‘God-void’ with so many worldly, earthly, temporal things and they can’t even begin to try to fill it. Let’s keep praying for strength and guidance to be the Salt and Light that we are! <3 You're doing it with your blog, and I'm so proud to know another mama who stands up for right. Keep it up, Mama! <3

  • I agree and applaud your courage to speak out and take a stand. Just yesterday while listening to American Family Radio I heard them report that 41% of people who go through sex-change procedures end up trying to commit suicide, and the rate of depression is even higher. It definitely is not the road to happiness!

    • Thank you, Michelle! And I totally agree. Those are staggering numbers and so, so sad! It is most definitely not the road to happiness, but the Devil deceives us in so many various ways. This just happens to be a big one at the moment. Lets commit to praying for those led astray. Thanks so much for sharing with us, Michelle. <3

  • lol well this is a BOLD post! (I mean that as a good thing) We live in a world of extremes. Everything is over the limit. People are so easily offended and we follow suit to try to please everyone. It isn’t going to happen. I long for manners and class to come back but we’re becoming highly sexualized and supposed to accept it. I think this is just a part of that. It’s a sexual culture and that’s a result of more open-ended sexuality. We knew this would come. We knew things would get worse. But it’s still shocking. Thank goodness we have heaven!

    • Thank you, Leah! 😉 You are absolutely right, and I am so, so thankful that we know the end of the story! AND that back when the entire population of earth was destroyed for their corruption, that God gave us the promise of the rainbow! I can’t imagine that it could’ve been worse than now, but it is such a comfort knowing what peace and joy we have to look forward to. Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing. <3

  • Your second sentence says it all…..common sense. People got rid of common sense a long time ago and that’s why e.g. in fast food places, they have to put “HOT” on coffee cups. So many people have stopped or never started reading the Bible that is full of wisdom and common sense (e.g. Proverbs). We’ve been so busy making sure everyone feels good about themselves and having it their way, no matter what they do, or if it makes sense or not. And yes, God, please help us. II Chronicles 7:14
